Q: What’s the difference between using you and just renting a cleaner and doing it myself?

A: The difference is how clean your carpets get, and how long they stay that way. Rental cleaners use lots of soap and water, and aren’t able to get it all out. The soap’s purpose is to attract the dirt to it, and you remember how long it takes to dry after using one. The result with this combination is even after your carpet is cleaned, it is still attracting dirt to it. That is how you end up with matted down, dark traffic patterns.

Using our professional truck mount steam cleaner, we pre-spray your carpet to attract dirt and stains to our professional cleaners, which we then are able to remove using hot water extraction. The suction on our professional machinery leaves your carpets damp to the touch, and dry in just hours! There is no left over soap to attract dirt to your freshly cleaned carpets!

 

Q: Do you offer referrals?

A: When we are offering our services on a commercial level, we offer referrals of other companies we’ve worked for like anyone else applying for a job. However, on a residential level, our customer’s privacy is very important to us, so we do not pass along any customer information. (Though it may seem inconvenient to you right now, you know that in the future you won’t ever receive a call from a stranger asking you how you liked our cleaning service) That is why we are striving to build a customer testimonial page. Q: What should we do to prepare for our cleaning?

A: Our technicians will move most furniture for you. Typically what they don’t move are big entertainment stands or anything with expensive electronics on it. We recommend that you remove any breakable items.

*Vacuuming before we arrive helps the cleaning process (we could vacuum for you, but it comes at an additional per room charge).

*Do you have a dog or cat? We ask for their safety to please make sure they are put away while we are at your home. Our hoses will prevent your door from closing, which may result in a scared cat or dog running out the door! (if your pet doesn’t like vacuums, they probably won’t like our wand or hoses, since they will sound similar to a vacuum, though the machinery is all outside in the van). We don’t want your best friend running away while we are there!

 

Q: My carpet has some stains. Will they all come out?

A: Our technicians are excellent at getting stains out, however not every stain cancome out. This is very much on a stain-by-stain basis, (What is the stain from? What kind of carpet? How old is the carpet? How long has the stain been in the carpet?). Though we do a walk through to inspect your carpet before we clean, it is best to point out the stains you are most concerned of to us when we arrive to your home to we can be sure to assess them and give them the attention they need.

 

Q: Is it safe for my small children or pets to crawl/walk on the carpet after cleaning?

A: If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask your technician. We make sure we have our MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) information in our vehicles. Though it depends on the specific chemical, rule of thumb is to keep small children and pets off the carpet until it is dry, or just slightly damp.

 

Q: I have a pet bird. Is it safe for Polly to stay in the room during the cleaning?

A: Simply put: No. Birds have highly sensitive respiratory systems, and should be removed from the rooms being cleaned, preferably to a quiet bedroom or office that won’t be getting the floors or furniture done, as kitchens and bathrooms have other chemicals that can harm them. Simple things like scented candles, Teflon pans, room fresheners, etc, can give your beloved Polly pneumonia. Even if the cleaner we are using is safe for Polly, we would rather be safe than sorry and for you to protect your pet during and after the cleaning process. 

 

Q: Can I walk on my carpet after the cleaning?

A: Yes, but keep the traffic light and in socks or slippers, please. Shoes will of course just get their soles cleaned off… right onto your carpet! And you don’t want your freshly cleaned carpet getting dirty. That’s why your technician puts protective footies over their shoes.
